Default TENNIS: ATP Australian Open 2007

FEDERER, Roger (SUI) 1.60
NADAL, Rafael (ESP) 5.00
RODDICK, Andy (USA) 17.00
BLAKE, James (USA) 21.00
HEWITT, Lleyton (AUS) 26.00
NALBANDIAN, David (ARG) 26.00
SAFIN, Marat (RUS) 26.00
BAGHDATIS, Marcos (CYP) 34.00
GASQUET, Richard (FRA) 34.00
LJUBICIC, Ivan (CRO) 34.00
BERDYCH, Tomas (CZE) 51.00
DJOKOVIC, Novak (SCG) 51.00

Its early but im keen to get some good odds.. Man Federer seems to be unstoppable in the big tournaments.. Do most people here think he is a sure thing? 1.60 (was 1.65 yesterday) is not bad since hes 1.05 almost every game until he reaches the finals.. I like Roddick at $17 (nice) . hes a hard court player and kicked ass with Jimmy Conners by his side in the US OPEN and will have improved since then, gonna back him, Nadal cant play on hardcourt... 4.50... no way..
. I remember when i backed federer @ 2.00 in the aust open final when Safin beat him.... the only time i backed him and he loses.. since havent bet nothing on him and hes won almost everygame since.. geeeez.!. i hope someone can beat him.

They have betting up already??? If you could be sure that Federer was going to be fit, then $1.60 is a great price. But still 3 months out, you can't be completely sure.

FEDERER, Roger (SUI) 1.45
NADAL, Rafael (ESP) 6.00
RODDICK, Andy (USA) 15.00
BLAKE, James (USA) 26.00
HEWITT, Lleyton (AUS) 26.00
SAFIN, Marat (RUS) 29.00
NALBANDIAN, David (ARG) 34.00
BAGHDATIS, Marcos (CYP) 41.00
DAVYDENKO, Nikolay (RUS) 41.00
GASQUET, Richard (FRA) 41.00
BERDYCH, Tomas (CZE) 51.00
JOHANSSON, Joachim (SWE) 51.00
LJUBICIC, Ivan (CRO) 51.00

Knew Fed would shorten since Oct... Gee he is a freak. This year he won 12 titles (three of em Grand Slams) and over $8 million in prize money.

The pressure will be on him for the new year....Other players respect him but they are hungry out to get him.
Ive personally choosen 5 top players to beat him as the odds are nice.. I backed Davydenko in October@ $101 (now $41) . Davydenko’s record for the year -- played in 32 tournaments, winning five, reaching the final of two others, the semifinals of three, and the quarterfinals of five.... he's ranked 3rd in the world. Insane at 101..

Suprisingly Nadal holds a 6-3 winning record over Federer! but Feds won the past two meetings - the Tennis Masters Cup semifinals and the Wimbledon final. He has improved his game on Hard... so big hope.

Roddick had Federer in Shanghai but he lost it mentally... (he did a Safin)..
If he can keep his cool... he can win it.

Hmmm however.. some are saying Federer is the best to ever play the game. If he wins the open... maybe they need to handicap him.

What the hell is going on ... key players are getting injuries... the odds are if not better now than 3 months ago... well except for Federer who has shortened.

Now its looking as Fed is a certainty to take the first Slam of the year.. now at what... 1.30

Thought i had davydenko at good odds... hes out to $126... and is the third seed.. hmmm ... might as well put the house on federer.

Nadal has injuries, Nalbanian and Davydenko... i think the best hope at 17 is Roddick.....

draw comes out tomorrow. i'll be looking at players not on federer's side of the draw and backing them to reach the final.

I like roddick at $28.00 at betfair. nalbandian at $80.00 is nice, as is $10.50 to reach the final. his worst result in the last 5 years has been QF. Davydenko $130 also nice. To reach the final, i like Massu, Chela, Soderling (all $55) and Robredo at $32 and Murray $10.50. All granted they are not on FedEx's side of the draw

Hey Chuck... so can you bet on a player to just reach the final....? Doesnt need to win, just reach it? Thats pretty good.. im only on centrebet, they dont have that (just yet). 80 for Nalbandian is nice but i can see why he's $80... really out of form. Davydenko has costed me in the past... i tell ya ill be backing against him every round! Ahhh wait to see the draw....

Default Fed d best

Hey sports Nice to hear you won.

Gonazles was 81 dollars at that time... I had a $1 on him.

I had fed at 1.60 and 1.45 in a few multis back in october so i won in the end but really preferred Davydenko or Roddick to win a big profit.. Missed out on williams.. she had nice odds.

I back fed to win all 4 grand slams this year at 6.50.....

Hes a class in his own.. and i reckon he will take Roland Garros this year but will keep watch throughtout the year.....
