I assume you're still a big fan of Takeover Target, marky?

Always have been, always will be.

But I have also liked Bentley Biscuit since he started- Royal Ascot won't know what hit 'em.

I was just wondering what others thought.....

being a Queanbeyan boy myself i have to go sentimentally with Takeover Target. My old man used to drive taxi's with Joe. It didn't surprise me when Joe moved to Coffs, my old man said he was always b.itching about how cold it was in Canberra. He's been a wonderful horse and it's a shame he's a gelding but i guess the offers were right when he first started racing......People questioned the offers for a million after his first few starts. I'm sure his career has more than justified that.

Bentley Biscuit is a very good horse in his own right but i've always had a question mark over him......I still do a little bit.......I think it's the quality of opposition that Target has taken on that puts him ahead. I guess we'll see if Biscuit's the real deal when he hits the international scene

Bentley Biscuit is the real deal. will be a superstar. however gai is only running him here to keep him fit for ascot, she said she paid up as an afterthought after consultation with his owner. Takeover Target i don't think will be the force he was, but will be competitive.

my pick is Black Ink, i'm confident with him here. he's put in some crackers last couple coming 2nd both times behind the biscuit on two wet tracks. won 6 times over the trip and twice at doomben. $10 super value, however if gai takes it seriously bentley will be too classy

I think Takeover Target is the better horse but will need the run tomorrow and Black Ink might beat both of them [not a better horse though than either of the above] because I think condt. barrier, track, jocky etc. just might suit better on the day.

The Target needed the run [hopeless second up] and the Biscuit was fit. It's just not a contest. If the Target had had 3 runs under it's belt, goodnight Biscuit.

ford put him out in front to early. when you give your horse a target a jockey doesnt have to put so much into him they do it on their own. those are herding instincts they possess when they are born. and what was up putting him out so far from the rail. targets not gonna see whos coming up from the inside of him when hes out that far. when he does its to late.

questionable riding tactics there.
