Default Laying the Tipsters

Here is another laying system that should work.

Lay all RADIO TAB top selections where the unitab rating is not 100.

The theory is that radio tab tips are followed by the average punter and that they are also usually the same tips given out on sky racing. This causes a lot of people to bet on the selections making the price drop so that there is no value in the selection.

While I know betfair punters are perceived as "smarter" I beleive the odd lines still follow what is available on the totes ( just add 10%-30% to the price).

I have removed selections that are also rated 100. The reason being that horses rated 100 have a high strike rate and would be break even using betfair prices.

Any Thoughts ?

You won't win everyday but you should (if my calcs are right) generate a POT of around 3% and considering there are a lot of selections each day this could turn into a nice little profit at the end of the year.

Good Luck.

CrackOne,

Considering that you are laying so many bets ... the commission you end up paying is the lowest (witha discount of 60%).

I didn't take out commission but you just have to take commission out of the 3% you make... You don't pay commission on a losing day.

So lets say you pay at the highest commissoin rate you are still going to make 2.85%.

Good Luck.

My only thought is it's a nice idea.

You would have to roll it with an appropriate bank AND [as you have already said], Lay ALL Radio Tab. selections where the rating is not 100 AND get them ALL covered at the appropriate odds, for the plan to work with any sort of consistency. The theory is good but the reality would be no easy task.

crash,

You would only lose if you laid the winners at an average of 22% higher than the tote.

Thats a fair asking even for betfair.... and remember this is only the winners and from my expereience with betfair the tips which are going to win are usually showing no where near the 22% on average. most show around 10%-15%.

But I am not following it, its just an idea put out there for others to use and experiment with as they see fit.

Good Luck.
