Default Cropp's 'victory salute' costs Lilakyn the Cup!

Linda Cropp has been suspended for 3mths by stewards for her victory salute at the finish line which they say cost Lilakyn the race. Cost me a few quid too and she owes me a motza [37/1] !
I backed it e/w along with Ice Chariot. Cost me points in the the kiss comp. too :-))

Turns out she did her 'salute' 2 lengths before the finish line [stopped riding the horse out]. Unbelievable!

Why can't we see the photo-finish for the race? That should help settle whether the Stewards' or Cropp's version is correct.

For a 3mth suspension of one of NZ's top riders, I'm sure all concerned where shown the 'hands-ups' photos!
No noise of appeal from Cropp, unlike Oliver who [successfully] appealed his suspension for careless riding in the same race.

"Controversial jockey Lisa Cropp is to appeal against her three-month ban by racing stewards for celebrating a win too early."

In an earlier article she claimed she only commenced not riding after the finish line.

Here's the photo.

To my unprofessional eyes it looks like both jockeys stopped riding before the line.

She deserves everything she gets here just think of how much money she cost connections alone let alone any punter that did put money on the horse I feel 3 months is completely justified if nothing else it might just get these jockeys to stop celebreting before the race is over. Allan Robinson was lucky that his mount fell in for the win as he could have quite easily have ended up being ridiculed just as badly he even said in an interview after the race that he didn't even know there was a horse out there and I also reckon that Lisa Cropp didn't know there was another horse inside her other than Ice Chariot she probably never even saw Newport as it would have been obscured from her vision by the bunch of horses inside her, I amnot defending her just saying that it might have been the case.

She has 1 hand on the rains he has 2 end of story, they are lucky the owners don't take her to court for loss of income i am suprised it has not happend before.

With the amount of money involved the jockeys should be insured against it happening because one day it will happen.
