Default Brissie Saturday

Brissie
Race 1,
Yass River to short..Spikes interesting but 1stup 1500m ??
Race 2,
2.50 Greccolo
Greccolo the one i'm interested in here...gets the run of the race but he does look like he'll be to short..Tornadic Sky will run a cheeky race,,
Race 3,
1.90 tour Guide
4.50 testimonial
no surprises here,,tour guide thrown in at the weights...testimonial good fresh ...
Race 4,
4.50 Sashenka
5.50 Feline Hunter
Risky affair,,,Sashenka just has to run up to a resemblance of last preps form to be to good for these but 1000m is probably alittle to short for her and if shes to far back she wont be able to catch them...Coome will have to be in touch on the turn ..i'm prepared to watch but if Feline is way overs i'll be on e./w..
Race 5,
4.50 Altacia
5.50 This Too Shall PAss
Should be able to back both...these two toowoomba locals have been racing in great form..Thistooshallpasss i can forgive for 1 average run...Altacia should get the nice run here,,..both suited by the likely fast tempo and the firm surface...
Race 6,
3.50 Daring Fortune
6.50 Nexgen
Daring is just flying..should be to good for these hacks. but there mightnt be any speed at all in this so i wont be taking the shorts..
Race 7,
5.50 Jack n Ice
5.80 Kendrick Lad
7.50 Felixtrinidad
Jack n Ice was just super last start,,,had no right to be that close..needs some luck here but has the sprint to do it,,,
Kendrick Lad gets the good run....Felix has some good form and looks the one they'll come for.,,..,,
Race 8,
Not a race i'm keen on.,,,Bound to at the odds can run a cheeky race,,

Doesnt look a great betting day,,,with to many shorties around...Allups ,Quadies ect the way to go ...i should get a prices Race 5 and 7 but of course the more riskier of the card....Greccolo i might get a price,,

Sydney
Race 3,
4.20 Come On Cugat
6.50 Beau Covet
6.50 Humma
COC is a difficult horse to get used to,,Nash knows now that this horse just plugs away and the big fella just grinds them into the ground..
the long straight here suits him and Nash will get him going sooner ,,, he'll be to strong for them the last 50m ..
Race 7,
2.60 Blessus
6.20 Oakland Lad
8 Royal lineup, Rubinda
I'm a fan of Blessus...horse has got ability and the likely tempo , track , distance all suit..

(Sumac a good chance ,,,and thought Mustard if the track holds up a good roughie in the last)

Melbourne
Race 5,
2.90 Ista Kareem
5.40 Sentire
6.50 Baughurst
I really think at this distance Ista will just pack to many punches especially if the track gets worse...Baughurst was good last start but i still think Ista is a stronger horse..
Sentire should have won last start the bigger danger....
Race 6. Aurie
looks a non betting race now,,,but the smart option would have been Orange County 3.50 Monet Rules 7's both fixed and you could have taken both very
confidently in this....i'll see what odds i get ,,,but i doubt i'll get on....
Race 7,
3.80 Emerald Jack
4.40 The Fuzz
Big tip around for this Fuzz,,i'm not totally convinced (yet) ,,i think Jack will start very nice overs in a race where hes very suited....6's ??

Gold Coast
Bernado
Newcastle
Leica Alot
Adelaide
Changing Eyes
Sassbee

Good luck all

Agree with Grecolo - ran well 1st up when ridden for speed. Form from that race stacked up ok through Mr Aristos last week in the Rasmussen race. Second up last prep he was unlucky in the G3 Summer Stakes behind Natural Destiny and should have finished much closer. Previous 2nd up run was also good. He has a big class edge in this race and should win.

Also like Shashenka - classy filly resuming. G1 placed in Sydney last prep, so very well-weighted with only 2.5kgs over the limit in this grade. Drawn to get a soft run and proven fresh in debut prep. Again looks to have a big class edge on these and has trialled ok in readiness for return.

Cheers

F

I like a couple later in the day agree on Jack and Ice flying at the moment barrier will give better odds than it should be and I like Time and Dandy in the last beautifully weighted for this race.

Brissie
Race 1,
Yass River
Race 2,
2.50 Greccolo
Race 3,
1.90 Tour Guide

Treble bet I think for the short odds.

r7/11 Count Henry Win
r7/14 Industrial Fan e/w

Both had good sectionals last start. Industrial Fan at big odds. A backmarker worth an e/w from the outside alley [good jockey too].

At around 30/1 lets hope Taylor flashes the horse home for a win or even a place will do. An exacta with Count Henry would be nice too [gotta dream a bit].

Everyone's on to Count Henry and it will probably start favorite, but they both ran almost identical sectionals.

Good call, Mav - That Quinella was the only positive point of my day. A little peed that it only paid $17.10 (UniTab)

Off to a paddock for Industrial Fan [or the Clag factory]. Count Henry will win a city race as it wasn't a bad run.

didn't have agood day in brissie but a couple of rougies got up for me in Sydney in the old bloke Mustard (what was it pensioners day Mustard and Motivate winning on the same day) and La Silva I wouldn't have tipped them today as I simply had not looked at sydney today i just went through as the races rolled up and went that way worked ok for me. in fact most of what I did in sydney was spur of the moment type stuff heck I didn't have Mustard in my treble had talked myself into backing him when the race rolled around.
