Default Group 1 Races

Does anyone else share my concern that our Group 1 races this Spring are going to be won by horses of a questionable standard/class?
On today's bumper program at Caulfield both Gp1 races have been won by horses of questionable long-term benefit to the overall Australian breeding/racing industry(IMO).
I agree that all they can do is defeat the opposition which is up against them but I have grave concerns in regards to the diminishing level of the overall class of Australian thoroughbreds in international recognition and standing.
Sure, racing has been detrimentally affected by the EI scourge but I have always believed that most male Gp1 winners are potential "champions" or the entires have the prospects of becoming champion sires once their racing days are over.
This year however, I have grave concerns.........
Does anyone believe that today's Gp1 winners will prove to be "champions" or "champion sires?"
Racing, currently, is in a parlous state and we hope that officials can overcome this scourge and get things back to normal.
They require the support of all racing fans/followers.

Good luck to you!
