Default Making money by laying longshots!?

Hi!
anyone knows how people make money out of laying long shots on Betfair?
No, I don't want to do it. Just curious.
Thanks

I can't remember where i read it but laying every runner over 40-1 could produce a profit, can anyone give us info on the strike rate of these runners in every event.

I don't know if I should feel sorry for them, I kept putting money on R2, N9 at MOG just now and they kept putting the price up!

I finished up at $4.6 starting from $3.5. in three lots.Cumulative $68 for a place. What gives with these people?
Don't they look at form?

Here is my rating for today at MOG, I don't know if any more will come in, I only have an 18 % SR for the first selection but I bet on any of the first four if the price is right

Default Betfair or Tab?

Hello,
I have now finished my first week of trialling Betfair prices, upon the insistence of fellow forumites, with the promise of better returns. (By no means am I saying that I was pressured into it!)
Keep in mind that I only bet on long shots that HAVE a VERY good CHANCE to win or place!
With this week behind us, I can definitely say that, Betfair is better, for long shots! for the place only!
For win bets in my price range (6 to 25) I get far better prices on Supertab, most of the time.
Having computed all the bets and returns and made the comparative charts, I have to say, that over all, despite the (only 5% deduction which you have to calculate into your bets BEFORE not after), in my price range I am better off with the TAB, and No! I have no shares in any TAB!
I still can't get my head around lay-betting and probably leave it at that. Have collected, even in one week, more of someone else's money than I should be entitled to! Sorry!
Good luck to all.

Iomaca is the prices the ones you received or the last ones matched because I can't believe Supertab is better (maybe 5% of the time)

but when you get up to 100% more on others, that cuts a big hole in the 5%
