B Cooper is the darling of the Sky Channel yes men. I'm not a fan and after her absolute slaughter of Polar North in the second my feelings are confirmed.
Why did she fight with a horse that clearly wanted to stride in a slowly run race? Then 7 wide in a field of 8 around the corner. She's on the blacklist in indelible ink. |

Yes! It was a pretty poor effort.
She may have been under instruction though. Watch for Polar Norths next start, it may pay overs. Get'em the rest of the day! Good Luck |

Amazing from top jockey to coffee shop...am i missing something here did she lose interest or did she have an accident or something. She seemed so passionate about being a jockey.
cheers U

Bernadette was involved in a serious race fall early 2005 [Macau] but from memory did resume riding [in Macau] late that year. Perhaps never fully recovered.

Anyone catch "A Girl, A Horse, A Dream" a documentary aired about 5 years ago & repeated a few times since. Follows Bernadette Cooper over the course of a year in which she competed at some of the most prestigious races in the country. A real eye opener in terms of how she was treated by her peers!
