Default Re bots

Hi...Regarding the free trial bots on the net that are available. Do you think that, while your trialing or have purchase the bot, that the company that owns the bot can monitor your activities? Just curious.

It's often user beware when you download something that is free on the web. Eg. some software that claims to detect and remove spyware actually installs spyware on your computer Best to do a google search first to see what others have said.

Thanks for your reply Marcus. I'm using fairbot...people have said some pretty good things about it, but still just a little curious if they could monitor your activities. Doesn’t realy bother me, as long as they cant get my wods of cash, ha ha ha..."Gee...I wish I had wods of cash"! ha ha.

Arrow Good question...

LCM

Fairbot makes a secure HTTP (TCP 443) call to 65.254.57.234 at startup. This traces through to an unresolvable address. The connection closes before login so I suspect it's a license/version checking function.

After login there's a quick call on TCP port 80 to the address 84.20.192.132, which is dropped pretty quickly, and two TCP 443 connections are made to address 84.20.192.244, and one to address 210.4.86.17. These I think are Betfair addresses as starting the standard Betfair GUI in a browser opens similar connections.

There was a cracked version of Fairbot doing the rounds of the free download sites which left all kinds of rubbish behind. Stay away from anything like this. I've not had any problems with the registered version. I put a fair few transactions through it everyday.

Thanks Angrypixie...No cracked version for me, those things are trouble. You don't know what your getting and could contain viruses and spy-ware. People are better off just buying it....it's not that expensive. ($99US)

I'm just acting a little paranoid guys...I'm sure I'll get over it, ha ha ha.

Thanks guys.

I also use Faibot , have for about a year & it is brilliant .
Very, very fast & user friendly.

Has the ability to trade & make mutibets under the $6 min Betfair amount, which is something that many of the others cant do.
This means that one can trade using 1 cent if need be, which is great for anyone when betting to a percentage of their bank , which has to be a consideration at some stage.

The funds are handled exclusivly through Betfair so any withdrawls have to be done with them exclusivly.

Fairbot is only a tool to place bets, it cant be used to withdraw funds.
Its also licenced to your PC , so one would have to get access to your PC to make any bets.
The potential villians would also have to know your code numbers as well as being on your PC at home & that is to place bets only .

Fairbot has a license from Betfair to operate through there system.
I would not have any security problems dealing with Fairbot.
I feel the asking price is worth every cent.

It also uses very little computer resources.

Cheers.

Thumbs up

Hi guys...thanks for all your responses. I have to agree with you guys...this bot is pretty good and the price is even better, considering others charge you over a hundred dollars a month for sub. I will puchase it next pay day...maybe sooner if I can get a good winner, ha. Thanks again guys...take care.

lcm.
