Here are some invaluable stats that every punter should have , on the longest expected run of outs before a winner (or place getter if using a place only plan), is struck based on ones selection plan percentage strike rate.

It would be an idea to print this out & keep as a ready reconer.
Here we go.

S/R
10%-65 Max.expected run of outs.
15%-42
20%-31
25%-24
30%-20
35%-16
40%-14
45%-12
50%-10
55%-9
60%-8
70%-6
80%-5
90%-3

This info allows you to tailor a sensible betting approach to you selections.

One idea is to multiply your max.expected run of outs by 3 to work out how big your bank has to be ,when betting level stakes.

If you are using a progressive staking plan , these figures will show what you may encounter in the future ,so you better be prepared for it.

Remember NO BANK - NO CHANCE.

May the Punt be with you.
Bhagwan.
