Party, nothing wrong with the bookie offer. The way I see it if you didn't also make an additional bet putting your selection in a quinella with So You Think you wouldn't have that quinella - you'd lose your bet!

Party, did you take the "Double the Odds" offer on Saturday for your first $100 bet? Backing So You Think at $3.40 (which of course is more than double the $1.70 that was on offer) then laying it at $1.80 was pure gold.

compare, (a) $20 win on say Myluckyday, it finishes 2nd to So You Think, so you get your $20 back.

(b) you place a $20 Quinella So You Think and Myluckyday, they finish in that order, you collect 20x the q divi.

Sure if Myluckyday wins and So You Think is not second you dip out, for me a better bet would be $15 Q and $5 Win my lucky day.

Guess it depends how confident one is that So You Think will be in the firs 2!
