Where I been failing is placing Wagers where none exist.
This Race has nothing , and because I spent an hour messing with it , I feel I MUST bet.

The only use is to Post Mortem the event , and perhaps increase knowledge somehow.

Even though this Race comes up as being very Open , it is a very good betting Race because the top 2 selections are good overlays.
The difficult thing is finding the correct wagers so that the result won't be wasted.

Even though I expect there to be massive Exotic dividends , there is simply too many combinations to be sure of bagging it , so I will stick with Exactas only

2,4 - 2,4 for $2
2,4 - 3,6 for $1.50
3,6 - 2,4 for $1

And $10 a win on each of the 2 top selections.

The #1 & #2 are wide runners that need a bit of room early, I see the #2 giving the #1 a bit of space.
But!
Even though the #8 will jump to the rails its a wide runner perfectly boxed to show right up, especially with a vacant box under. Only the #4 can match its 2nd sectionals, Next best after the #8 is #4 who will jump straight and if the inside two dogs mess up, its going to only be out of the 4 & 8 .
#6 heads to the rails early but generally races rails centre.

#2 has ran its 3 worst 1st sectionals in its last half dozen starts, this should allow the #1 who is tipped to lead, a nice clean run early, but it doesn't have the 2nd sectionals of the rest of this field. #8 is boxed upside down for mine and that is the real danger for the #7 who I tip to win this race.

The #3 has put in some great 2nd sectionals its last 3 starts, meaning it's fit.

#6 is a speedy beginner, but has no 2nd sectionals of any note.
I like the #3 it just needs to get balanced early to win this, I thought it would have been short in this, but drawn next to the #2 who edges a fraction wide early is the only problem.
#5 stays wide early
#1 rails may benefit from any early interference with the 2&3.
