Default Laying at SP

Couple of questions hopefuly someone on here can answer.

1-When you place a lay bet at SP, is a certain amount of your bank put to one side for that bet, or is the money only taken from your account once the market closes, and SP is determined.

Example, lets say I want to lay all my selections for 5% liability of my bank, but I have 30 selections (so only enough for 20 selections to start with) for the day, can I do it all at once, or would I have to wait till some had resulted during the day to place the SP lay bets on the remaining 10 selections?

2-Can you set a upper and lower limit on your selections?

I know a bot will do all that I am asking, but dont have my selections done until after scratchings by which stage I'm at work. Unless anyone knows of a Iphone bot app?

Smile Morning Thorns,

1. Money's out of your a/c as soon as you put SP bet on. So you'd need a/c to cover all bets if early placement is your goal.
2. Upper limit only can be selected.

I play with the Geeks Toy where you can play the game trying to get matched but if not successful your bet turns to SP bet (optional) at the jump.

It sounds like you need a bot to place the bets. That way only one is being placed at a time therefore only one amount coming out of your account.

Of course, that doesn't take into account the scratchings.

Don't know if it helps, but I carry a small laptop with a wireless connection when on the road and it works well, not that I use it often but when something changes drastically in Tcond. or scratching it comes handy.

They are cheap as chips these days and you need less then a Gb limit, I make do comfortably with 600 Mb but don't use it every day.

Good luck.

Ps when not at home and running a bot you need a UPS as well, in case of power failure!

I run my UK/IRE stuff from an Amazon EC2 virtual server out of Dublin. Works very well with a good bot.
