![]() Take the first flat race for the race meeting only. This may be the 2nd race etc if the first is a hurdle or steeples race.
No 2yo races, only horses aged 3yo-5yo. Last start must have finished 1st-4th and within 5 lengths of the winner or won. Must be starting within 30 days of last start. ********* (another rule here not disclosed) If the favourite does not qualify with all these points then look at second favourite. If there are equal second favourites or not much between them, say $0.20 then take the one with best form. Two month period on all NZ races April-May 2012. Outlay for $1.00 flat bet = $25.00 Return = $64.20 Profit = $39.20 Within this group were 10 races from 2000m to 2200m for 9 winners and a second placing, one race over 2400m for a 6th and one over 2900m for a win. Hurdles and steeples races were resuming over May. Forgetting the 3-5yo age rule, all others relevant. There were 3 races over May for 3 winners. Little to go on yet but I feel that they will hold their own. Would be interesting to see how well this system fares on Aus. races. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks to those who have posted here and helped to refine this system.
