Just a question, I'm a keen race follower who likes to think he knows a little bit about racing, but I just cant seem to work out why horses such as Universal Prince, Inaflury and Rum are looking to run this Saturday, 3 days before the Cup is run...don't they pose a big chance of the horse pulling up sore or being fatigued for the 'race that stops a nation.' I don't know but I think I'll be looking at other horses such as Ethereal and Rain Gauge.

Nine of Bart Cummings' eleven winners raced on Derby day so why don't you ask him?

I'm afraid i was right guys, Eight out of the top Nine horses in the cup didn't race on Saturday. It just seemed that the local horses were going through a long and gruelling preparation, especially with Saturdays hard tracks.
