hi punters/investors
im new to this forum and a good one at that i have read some interesting post and i believe i have some learning to do but anyways this is my betting strategy .

$1 to win $4 to place if no win {double****
$2 to win $8 to place same again(double****
$4 to win $16 to place " "
$8 to win $32 to place " "
e.t.c if i run a place i still double until i have a winner?
this way may bank is not eaten away.
when my first winner appears stop collect then wait till night meetings and start over again.
win rate about %20
place rate %70
only bet $5 or better
betting on most meetings
highest win div $22 highest place div $6.90
back $5 or better to rely on a place div of approx $1.80 or better no win still hold my bank.any ideas on your bet strategy or advise on mine would be appreciated.

Hi easy pick,

I personally am flat stakes only wouldn't do a martingale staking if you paid me.

What you propose I think depends on the odds you are working to.

If they are all shorties you have got no hope.

Sorry didn't read your post fully on the highest win + place divi's.

If you are getting divi's like that why are you worried about a build up system.

You say you are ONLY a $5 better but add up 10 outs and tell me that you wouldn't be nervous putting the 11th bet on AND it can happen.

Cheers

hi kenchar
yeah if i had a run of 10 outs i would be tearing my hair out.but the good thing i can say is i never had to cross that bridge ,kenchar try to work this out .
win place
1st 0 0 exp $5
2nd 0 0 exp $10
3rd 0 0 exp $20
4th 0 2.20 exp $40 return $70
'' ''
i had 4 bets 1 place with a div of 2.20 .
the total cost so far was $75
my return is $70
loss of $5
my betting system is a beauty as long as you have the selections to back it up ,so i worked around some facts and figures and come up with consistent ratings . when a strike a winner more than $5 it"s really rewarding sometimes, also the key is dicipline !must stop once a proffit margain is accomplishied.ardios amigos.

I have done many simulations useing many different types of stakeing and in the end the best is bank percetage betting...that is you bet say 5% of your bank and recalculating everytime your bank doubles the percetage you bet always depends on the strike rate and your average dividend for place i recomend 5% and for win 2% but this is your choice....kenchar...i am trying to put your staking in to practice just need to find the right type of place selection system

Shaun,
If you read that other thread you will note I have been checking another method which gives a DEFINATE selection with very few rules. It's so simple it is laughable.
It is holding up so far.
Today 27% win ave div $7.65 50% plce ave div $2.38.
I will run it every day for next 2 weeks and if it holds up I will post you to give me your Email and I will pass it on, but you have got to promise one thing and that is not to roll around the floor laughing when you see what it is.

Cheers
