Hi,
I have recently been going to the horse tracks and dog track and I am still confused on how to read the book that you get. Could anyone tell me an horse racing "language or terminology" and explain a little about how people bet and how to read the book.
I would appreciate it so much thank-you!

Puntz,

I think our friend actually lives in the USA, and I'm not sure that they even have racing radio stations over there. The American racing language is actually VERY different to ours and racebooks and form guides are probably also different. So it might be a little bit tricky for us to explain everything, but I for one would be happy to try.

Yeah, not having a go at you or anything, Puntz. It's just that with the different terminology used in the U.S, sometimes you'd think it was an entirely different sport!

i think a better solution would be to buy some racing books....i am not sure what the best are for US racing but i am sure someone will be able to tell us on here....or maybe a website that has the same type of info....or find a US based punting forum....we will help you as much as we can...but we mainly talk about Aus racing nhere
