Statistcally to my knowledge 2yo races show a bad return for fav backers .Could anybody tell me which other types of races should be avoided when backing favs

Races where a number of runners are having their first race start. Some of these horses can race erratically and cause interference to any number of horses including the fav.
Best left alone in my opinion. Cheers. darky. |

I agree with Darky. look at Scone Race 9 to-day. 5 1st up horses running.I have put a great black line through this race. Will not look at 1000 metre races.1100 to 1600 metres only.

Ron,
Did you really mean unraced horses --- or first up from a spell? I think Darky was referring to the former. Of course, the fav. Race 9 won at Scone  |

If you're referring to Suva, it was one of my main bets yesterday. It was a selection for a plan I use which concentrates on first-uppers. As for 2yos, I thought favourites actually had a pretty good strike rate in those races. Does anyone have the stats???
