I know you don't like paper formguides Nashy, but i discovered an amazing quinella and trifecta system. It uses the Sportsman, and the Wizard. The selections are those that are in the top three rated Zipform, and also have an * next to there price in the wizard. Got me 4 trifectas in a day at Randwick once!!

Sportsman, Wizard, Zipform, sorry mate they mean nothing to me, can you give me some more details - the system sounds promising do you box more than 4 or 5?

Nah mate, only 3 boxed w/ that system.....i have another system that boxes 4 or 5 though...
1. Rule out any horse whose last 2 starts have totalled more than 10 e.g. 4576 would go, whereas 5952 would stay. 2. Rule out any horse whose jockey isn't in the top 10 wins for the season so far 3. Rule out any horse whose trainer isn't in the top 10 wins for the season so far 4. If the race is less than 1400m, then remove the horses w/ the outside three barriers, unless one of them is the favourite. Usually leaves 5-6 that i narrow down to 4-5 by personal opinion BTW, the Sportsman and Wizard are both well known racing publications that i would think can be bought at any good newsagent Chuck _________________ Class will always prevail over fitness, when the quality of the horses is not equal. Nashy,
Do you want regular wins with small dividends or occasional wins with big dividends? (and don't say you want regular wins with big dividends) |

Nashy,
If you want to nab some big quinella dividends, there are certain things that I think you could look at. (a) I've found over the years that horses starting from the inside and outside barriers often seem to pop up at good odds in quinellas and trifectas. (b) You could also consider looking at TAB No1 and the horse at the bottom of the field. The quinella with Tahni Girl and Maxerelle on Oaks day paid $696!!! (c) Unitab 100 Raters and their tipsters picks are always worth a thought too. Anyway, here's an idea that I thought of, using info from the Unitab site. Bet only in races where there are two sets of selections listed on the Unitab site. That's Bris, Syd, Melb & Adel on Saturdays and all NSW and Vic meetings from Sunday to Friday. Fields of 8 or more only. Delete races where the two tipsters pick the same horse to win. In remaining races, take both tipsters' top picks and add the horses starting from the inside and outside barriers. If you have less than 4 horses, add the horse or horses shortest in pre-post odds to make up the 4 selections. TODAY'S RESULTS: TERANG R2 (tips 9&11, barriers 3&9, odds 4) - 3,4,9,11 - RESULT 9-4-8 Quin $7.20 TERANG R7 (tips 6&8, barriers 12&13) - 6,8,12,13 - RESULT 6-13-7 Quin $50.60 TERANG R8 (tips 8&13, barriers 4&12) - 4,8,12,13 - RESULT 12-13-11 Quin $103.60 SCONE R2 (tips 1&7, barriers 12&13) - 1,7,12,13 - RESULT 13-7-2 Quin $11.50 SCONE R5 (tips 2&3, barriers 4&7) - 2,3,4,7 - RESULT 6-4-9 SCONE R8 (tips 2&3, barriers 7&8) - 2,3,7,8 - RESULT 5-10-3 Out $36, In $171.90, Profit $135.90 There was also a $109 quinella yesterday at Queanbeyan and a $106 result at Flemington on Oaks Day. I can assure you that it isn't going to work like that all the time. It does show you what's possible though, so think about some of the things I mentioned. [end quote] Chuck, may I suggest you re-examine this "rule" ........ Under the "more than 10" rule a horse with 1110 OR 1101 is EXCLUDED but 0019 is INCLUDED. Interesting that there's no mention of a spell, how is 1111X differentiated from 1110X ? love, f. |

I agree on that rule really even though i don't practice it at times....a horse may have a form line of 7524 but the last two starts finishing magins may equal 8 lengths as apposed to a form line of 5484 but the last 2 finished margins may equal 3 lengths

Nashy,
Another simple idea, again using the Unitab website and concentrating on meetings with two sets of tips. Preferably look at races with at least 10 starters. Combine the top 3 picks of both tipsters and also any 100 raters. If that leaves you with less than 4 horses or more than 5 horses, delete the race. If it leaves you with 4 horses, add the one starting from the lowest barrier number to get a 5th horse. If any of your 5 runners is less than $3 delete the race. TODAY: BENDIGO R1: 3,5,8,10,11 LOST R2: 2,6,10,11,13 Quin $12.70 R5: 3,6,7,9,10 Quin $34.30, Tri $375.20 R6: 2,3,7,10,13 Quin $42.20 R7: 2,3,4,6,10 Quin $16.60, Tri $102.80, F4 $581.40 R10: 4,7,9,12,14 Quin $33.40, Tri $439.50 Again, nice results, but please don't think it's that good all the time. This is simply to show you that it is possible to make a nice easy plan for quinellas and trifectas. By the way, I tend to delete maidens and 2yos in a lot of my systems, and I think it could be an idea with this system too. If you had done that today, you wouldn't have had R1 & 2 and the result would have certainly been better. [ This Message was edited by: sportznut on 2004-11-10 21:36 ] |
