I'm sorry ops: I've just realised that your comment about Padfoot Charlie was replying to "purpleheart". I suspect his selections come from a website that give these selections for free.

This is copied from the website.

In conclusion I’d back (all each way):-

Melbourne Race 4 Mr Lofty
Melbourne Race 6 Kistadan
Sydney Race 9 Padfoot Charlie
Brisbane Race 3 Hamah and Gungadin
Brisbane Race 8 Victory Highway

Most are big double figure odds in the paper so you don’t have to have the rent or house payment on them to get a quid.

PLUS THIS WAS ALSO ON THE PAGE

***********The best weighted horse anywhere in Australia has to be Pembleton in Brisbane Race 7. The multiple Group winner of A$1,021,720 has 2.5 kilos over the limit in a 1000 metre sprint. He’s another horse who would have stayed and wintered in Brisbane. He’d have been set for the race – but then has two problems – namely Star of Florida and alley 16! ***************

Here is a copy of his picks

Sandown Classic
Confectioner $10
R4 Mr Lofty $10
Sydney R9 Padfoot Charlie $10
Brisbane
R7 Pembleton $10
R8 Victory Highway $10

Except for Confectioner which he had to have a pick in that race, all of his picks were mentioned on this site.

Sorry again Rabbitz

Northerly, what you said was weird because I know someone who backed SENSATIONAL SPOT on cup day
I found the website you mentioned by chance this morning.
I backed PADFOOT CHARLIE off my own judgem, ent.it was dropping 7 kgs on previous run and at the price $15.70 it was tasty and got me back in the black
I cant mention the website Luv2bet which is JUST too bad,ah well thats racing er I mean life
Cheers

If you wan't to know where this web site is, use your noodle.
Type Padfoot Charlie into Google and see what you come up with.
I found it in less than 2 minutes.

I have been reading this website for a while.
The articles are JUST about RACING, they are written by a guy in qld. He doesn't hold back on his opinions and gives out some nice tips as mentioned.
Also has a sensational WET TRACK SIRE RATINGS page.
Track it down, worth the look.
Also has a subscription service that has a great strike rate of laying favourites.
