not sure about Jar Jar binks,,,just moved stables and has been hard to follow,,,Princess Diamond hasnt done much better lately but the word is she should be about ready..
Like Camp Kalani in Bairnsdale as well
Cut the Tape (owes me from last start) and Artee at huge odds in the last at Musselbrook are my other bets...

How many races X do you usually bet in ?? or do you just back yor top selections if they are overs ..

Ol Jar Jar.. thought there was at least 1 good run left... Camp Kalani proved way too good I was hoping more than anything, for it to go over.. too short for this black duck


As to what I bet on... I Have been going through a bit of a slump of late and have been looking at other angles.. At the moment I am concentrating on quinellas, using a fairly obvious criteria.. which have proved to be pretty positive of late.. having said that... my ratings may be on the improve.. but backing top selections isn't in my opinion a good idea, that way lays madness.

If you can get overs thats the best shot... If I back my selections to WIN, I will look at them all the way down to 10/1 and if there ARE overs available and a profit by betting more than 1 selection that is the way I go..

Instead, I just had an any2 bet with numbers 1, 4 & 5. I did consider adding the 6 but decided against it.

Good old Jar Jar...should of Known Eric Musgrove would weave his magic...he has one of my horses and will give me heaps for not giving Jar Jar a chance...i wonder how he'll go over the jumps ...
Kamp Kalani was impressive ,,,Cut the Tape wasnt and had every chance though he was wide most way...starting to cost me now that horse so i'm jumping off ...Hopes on Greg Ryan in the last on Artee,,he's up in class but his run the other day was huge and has come back a better horse..still think Mr ryan will have to weave his magic though..

I would just like to know how you do ratings for every race every day. And I think I've seen you rating some horses that haven't even had a start. How do you do that?

Personally, I like to concentrate on the best quality races and usually 1400m+. That means I normally rate no more than about 3 races on an average day and no more than about 10 or so on a Saturday. Any more than that would be too time consuming for me. I didn't like the quality of today's racing, so I didn't rate any races at all today.

I like backing Greg Ryan in the last race, so I might think about that one. Don't mind Opal Chip's first up record either. Tough open race though.

Well, I didn't end up having a bet. It looked a bit too tough to me. But I see that xpt has found the winner on top. Well done.
