Default Getting overs for Makybe and Alinghi

Me and a few mates are discussing setting up a betting syndicate by which one of us travels to the US and Japan to back our stars in their overseas missions. Only early discussions; which probably wont eventuate, but would include splitting airfares and accomodation costs between 12 of us, and having whatever $ amount every individual wants on Makybe in the Tenno Sho and Alinghi in whatever she runs in first up there. It is fair to assume they would start at decent odds (overs) in their respective races as the public there have no knowledge of the horses, and could work out for a huge collect. Again probably just a pipe-dream but i'm keen and getting keener, it wouldn't be me going however as you must be 21 to bet in US, didn't stop me here but it would be big bikkies and to much to risk by betting illegally. Any thoughts?

I am sure with the advances in the internet betting sites you will be able to find overs by looking at the different sites....you will have to open accounts with them but thats a lot cheaper than going there

Yeah, that's my thought too. You don't have to travel all that way just to bet. Unless someone wanted to make a holiday out of it.

Wouldn't it be easier and less hassle to go through Betfair or IAS ?

No Idea, but I heards she's going.. Still it would be better to back it on the internet and save the hassle of traveling on the right dates... What if they're scratched.. Long way to go for nothing.. Still if you can get someone else to pay for your holiday I suppose it's not all bad...
