For those who like chasing jockeys to track down a winner.
Heres a plan that throws up the odd good payer.

1)Wait to see which jockey wins race 1. & every other jockey that wins all the subsequent races , betting on all that are entered in the following race
2)So as an example ,if a different jockey were to win the first 2 races ,you would be betting those 2 jockeys in race 3 & so on.
3)If still different jockeys throughout the meeting, you would end up with a max. of 7 jockeys in the 8th. race.
4)Max. bet for the meeting would be 28units.
1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28 this becomes less if certain jockeys are not entered into certain races.
Example last Sat.11th.May.
Gold Coast 1 winner $17.10
Sydney 3 ''' $3.20+$15.90+$5.20
Melbourne 2 '''' $3.70+$79.10
Adelaid 1 '''' $1.90

All up, a tidy little earner for the day.
Some days will be stronger than others.
Bank needed would $550 for every $1.00 out lay. That way you can last 20 race meetings.

Bhagwan, You are not suggesting that we should bet this one with level stakes are you?

What happened to your staking plan?

Seriously I think you had better run this one over more than a single race day before you start recommending it to people.

I tell you what! Becareful, why dont you run it over 100 no make that 500 races then get back to us all, so you can tell us all what to do .
Like I said ,it has its days .There are a lot of punters wrightly or wrongly, who like selecting performing jockeys over horses,so as to hit the odd big payer & it does`nt matter what people say about it,thats their choice.
This plan seems to work best on Sat. metro meetings.

Bhagwan, I have no problem at all with people following jockeys, tab numbers, horse weights, grey horses, jockeys wearing pink, whatever if that is what they want to do - I would just never suggest to anyone that it is a "tidy little earner for the day" without warning them that it will probably lose their entire bank in the long run. If you want to follow jockeys then I respectfully suggest that a system such as EI's which concentrates on a few jockeys whose form you have analysed for many months is probably far superior to one that backs every jockey that wins a race on a given day.

I am not going to waste my time investigating a system unless it either:
1) Looks logical on paper
2) Someone claims to have used it successfully for months and has figures to back it up.

I am afraid EI's system passes both tests and this one (and all the others you have proposed in the past month) fails both.

OK Bhagwan, you must have a problem with understanding my posts - I can't recall ever saying people should not bet - in fact my previous post said that you can bet on whatever you want to. As I have also said previously I do bet and am currently working on my own system which so far (about 6 weeks of live betting) is showing a decent profit.

The question is Bhagwan, do you bet and if so what is your aim? Do you bet for fun and if you lose $50-100 a week then consider that a reasonable outcome (ie. it is just money you are spending on your hobby)? Again I have no problem with this - I know a lot of people who are happy to do this - some weeks they win (and use the money for a celebration dinner, etc) - most weeks they lose but they consider it just money spent on their hobby. If they are having fun and don't start gambling away their grocery/petrol money then it is not a problem.

What does concern me is when people think they can win big without doing a lot of work researching and learning about betting. I feel that most of my posts have been nothing more than putting forward MY PERSONAL VIEW (you are welcome to ignore it) that caution is necessary if you want to make money in this game.

Just out of interest what percentage of regular punters (I define this as someone who has at least 50 bets/year) do you think actually make money? Now what percentage make, say $1000 a year? And what percentage actually make a living out of it (lets say $25000 per year)? Let me know your guesses and then I will post some actual figures!

Thought I might take a guess myself, because I want to see your actual(?) figures.

3% make money
1% make more than $1000
0.1% or less make more than $25,000

By the way did you see that Neil/Quapi put Bhagwan's "system" on the weekly newsletter. He took editorial licence, but the principle is still there.

Good on you Bhagwan, you've been published!

Yeah, good on you Bhagwan. You're at least having a go. I find your posts interesting and uncomplicated unlike some that post here.

Keep 'em coming buddy, you do have some fans out there.

By the way, as you and I are both retired and in SE Qld, we'll have to get together for a drink and a chat sometime.

Oh, nearly forgot....can't wait for those "actual figures" becareful.

It's a great method for someone who wants to have some fun.
I have just got a few results in front of me at random. These are starting prices of jockeys' second winners and third winners on the day:

11th. April
Canterbury(night meeting)
J. Sheehan 4/1
J. Sheehan 5/1

Moonee Valley (night meeting)
----

13th. April
Flemington:
B. Fenech 11/1
S. King 7/1

Randwick:
-----

Eagle Farm:
S. Galloway 9/4

Cheltenham:
D. Carney 5/1

20th. April
Doomben:
M.Dracos 4/1

Morphettville:
D.Oliver 10/1
K. McEvoy 6/1

Flemington:
B Prebble 5/2

Rosehill:
R Quinn 11/2
D Beasley 5/1

27th. April
Moonee Valley:
V Hall 10/9

Rosehill:
D. Beadman 5/1
C Munce 10/1

Doomben:
S Galloway 9/2

Victoria Park:
T Creek 7/1

I thought it would be interesting to just post some random recent results. (I do not have the time to check how many bets there would have been at these meetings.)
If the method is used without any refinements or form analysis it will probably have to find quite a few jockeys' second winners for the day at huge odds.

Placegetter - pretty good guessing! You are a bit low on the make money at all figure (but most of them don't make very much) but the others were pretty much spot on. I have posted the actual figures in a new thread for those who are interested.
