Good job XPTDRIVER, so what does one look for when examinning the ratings? There are several that are 100, does one just stick to them or have you found a correlation between what the high score is and the distance between the next runner/score.

There are several selections that when one examines the paper might be considered roughies ie $31..

Best of luck for today

might have a quaddie or 2

ciao for now

Chris

Gday Sarg..

the 100 pointers are a weakness in my ratings... the races where there is a 100 score is simply a converted number, my ratings figures are result of various scores added together then divided... the 1oo score races mean the the top rater scored more than what the maximum divisble number is ( my max rating is 100) (to acheive a normal rating figure)... so that means that it needs to be converted... I chose 100 as the number because the other races cannot reach 100.. I know it sounds convoluted but it makes perect sense to me... Having said that I do NOT consider a 100 pointer any better than any other top rater... or worse for that matter, but they are more likely to be pretty short.. I hope that makes sense.. I think the ratings work well for multiple players, also concentrating on horses paying say more than 4 or 5 bucks can be profitable.. I do not reccomend betting the top rater only, even tho they do tend to show a small profit on most days... some days they fall in a heap and the 2nd 3rd or 4th horses keep winning at big odds.. but that is the name of the game I guess..

so what your saying is that the 100 pointers should be treated about the same as the second one?

I think I get the gist. Ill follow on paper and see whether I can make sense of it.

Ciao for now

Chris

Gday Chris

what I am trying to say is the 100 pointers should treated the same as any top rater.. to me they are the same..The only difference that I can see is they are more likely to be pretty short, tho that is not always the case..

no but I think Country and Provincial are the places I do best... It's where I seem to make the most money.. Of late WA has been fairly kind..
