Tuesday April 5
Gday All
Racing today at Port Macquarie (AKA God's Country) is going to be pretty tricky because the weather here the last 2 days has well and truly sucked. It is blowing a gale from the SE and the rain has been reasonably heavy at times.. They have given the track out as a SLOW 7 (on a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being fast 10 being a bog).. If it is that bad (which it may not be, the stewards get it notoriously wrong in this area) look for horses to be very very wide in the straight because of the camber of the track at the top of the straight.. If they stick to the inside fence the track is no worse than dead.. Sometimes they scout that wide that they have paint on their left side..The wind should come from the outside to the inside in the straight and slightly behind them... Wind normally dosent play that much in the straight because that part of the course is like an ampitheatre, very low with a big hill on the outside so is protected a bit from the wind.. Good luck if you choose to bet here today... I have changed the formula for ratings today and tomorrow (trying a tweak after yesterday's massacre, coulda just been one of those days tho) .. I will post Wednesday later today as I will be away tomorrow..
