Could someone please help?

I was trying to download some form from the ozeform horse search database and have encountered a few problems that go beyond my excel abilities. The major problem is the finishing position and field numbers. For example 1/12
will come out as 1 December. I know that the columns need to be formatted but I cant seem to do it correctly. I would also like to split the two figures into seperate cells. Also with the beaten margin figure, if the horse has won the margin to the second horse comes up and as I am experimenting with the beaten margins I would like excel to turn the margin to zero if the horse has finished first.
