Lance Whitnall
Guernsey Number: 8 Height 190cm Weight: 100kg Recruited From: Lalor/Northern U18 Debut: 1997 Date of Birth: 23 August 1979 THE FINE PRINT... Injuries and indifferent form have combined to unsettle Whitnall's career. He battled through to play 19 games in 2004, but the big forward did not have any real impact and by season's end there was talk of a possible trade. However, he has made a determined bid to turn his career around and completed a solid pre-season, enabling him to start 2005 in good shape. At his best, he is crucial to Carlton's bid to push up the ladder. Games: 157 Goals: 290 Carlton Football Club Theme Song We are the Navy Blues, We are the old dark Navy Blues, We’re the team that never lets you down, We’re the only team old Carlton knows, With all the champions they like to send us, We’ll keep our end up. And they will know that they’ve been playing Against the famous old dark Blues. Carlton......the mighty Blues Will |

The Blues certainly don't need him, they have Fevola and J. Waite signed on for the future, with Deluca probably a third tall option in the forward line. The only option for Lance is is a key position defender, maybe CHB.
But who would want Whitnall? Maybe somebody lacking a bit a front? Sydney, Geelong, Western Bulldogs? And what would they be willing to trade? I don't know if Whitnall is worth what Carlton think, and I dont think they will get what the think either. |
