RN, looking at those stats, you possibly could have been a bit more restrictive and just kept it to Deputy Deal. It definitely had the best record at track and distance.

yeah, Huck Bay had never won at the distance and WW had only a 13% s/r at the distance

I think that you are definitely onto something with what you are attempting... I rate just about every race every day... and D and CD are very important in my ratings formula... With my ratings, The race that Wimmera Wizard ran in threw up the, the winner as 2nd pick at 77$.. (can be found where I post full fields every day) The horse had form at the distance and track performance is outstanding with 3 from 5 or 60%.. nice barrier draw and a fair place percentage... also Wimmera Wizard and Tactica were 2 of 3 horses with the quickest backups.. I had Wimmera Wizard on top. The thing I find amazing is that overall my ratings do not perform very well in the front half of the card Races 1 - 4 , But are mostly profitable or break even on races 5 onwards.. I think that has to do with maidens usually being in the first half of the card... and not having form over the Distance or Track.. But races where D and CD are available seem to be easier to find a winner.. I dunno just my idea...

I reckon you should keep up with the idea you have... The SR can be a bit of a worry sometimes but my goodness there can be some big divvies at times with your first couple or so in the ratings .
