Default Racehorse Ownership / Syndication

After taking a step back from punting for a while I have been doing a bit research into owning a horse or getting involved in a syndicate.

Does anyone know where I can look for syndications etc, also I would like to do some thorough research into breeding, pedigree etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

if you're just starting out..i'd check out the major ones....get a 10% share and learn as you go..
Rogerson, Slade , King , Vern are all good at getting that topliner ...also depends on your budget though..
You have heaps to learn though...check out all the breeding forums..check out Stallions.com and Bloodhorse review..check out tesio and even dosages ..get some pedigree books...study the champions of yesteryear and now and look at there pedigrees ..then thats just the start ,,
conformation is another skill altogether ..
basically look for progeny of a well performed proven Stallion out of a mare thats thrown performed horses or has performed herself and comes from a line along the same..and thats going to be trained by a trainer who can get the best out of the horse,,,
winners breed winners alot of the time..but not all the time..
still in the end ..alot of luck is needed ..

Think of it as like buying shares on the stock market,,if you dont know what you are doing you'd go for a managed fund (ie major syndicates)

Most major Syndicators have there own websites ...and you can get a list of them on the Racing australia website or by contacting them by phone.
Good luck...and let us know how you go..
