Thumbs up Eagle Farm Discussions

Hi all, some OK racing at Eagle Farm tomorrow and hopefully we can find a winner or two

Race 1 - Naval Seal should win if he repeats the last win. It was a dominant performance at Doomben over a similar trip and Byrne sticks. Fly Dubai can figure with no weight, coming up from northern NSW on the back of a good win. Allegro Spiritoso isn't hopeless fresh either, the 1000m is a query though. Take out Naval Seal and its pretty open.

Race 2 - Romantic Journey is the one for me here. Great win first up. Not a suitable race 2nd up, and the increased journey should help here. Doesn't appear to be too much speed to bother him either. Nik Nak Noee was a very nice win last time and can justify a southern trip with a good effort here. Enrique is class but i'm not sure the pace will suit...

Race 3 - Classic stayers race in Bris. Who'd know which one of them will win this week. Maizy May meets a lot of them much better at the weight and will be on pace. Abu Simbel had better win one soon, or the punters will start getting restless - but he gets his chance i suppose. Able King looked very good winning last time, but this is a massive step in class...might be worth a look at huge odds though.....(maybe )

Race 4 - Colin's Party should be about to win again. Has run into a couple of good ones at his last 2, and i don't think there's any world beaters here. Noble Gaze won well last time, and can repeat it if hes left alone out in front (may not happen here, though). Kanetoshi Millions is ready to improvei think, with a couple of reasonable runs in town his last 2.

Race 5 - My Best Tycoon is the one i like here. Has won well with big weights his last 2 in pretty good time. So with the weight drop here, and the good alley (hopefully the emergencies get scratched), he'll be right there at the business end. Mighty Crossing almost got there last time, and down in class, is right in this for sure. Arrowsweep got dudded at the barriers, but can get home hard if the pressure is on up front.

Race 6 - *shrugs*....wouldn't have a clue. Speed appears to be a worry to my eye. Mythological can go forward, and maybe promising joy. Promising Joy might improve at odds...has been specked a couple of times recently without doing much....just guessing here though. Malta and Unbound are in good form, and can surely figure here.

Race 7 - Not a bad race. Think More Than Hugs should nearly get the money here from the 1. On the back of some good Sydney form, she can just camp behind the speed, getting the perfect run. Pengelly is riding in good form at the moment. Star Shiraz is quality and can run on if the speed is genuine (which it should be). Kas Nediym has been running some great races up north and with the 2 alley, won't be far off either.

Race 8 - Stood Up was a tragedy beaten last time from the wide alley, so in tipping him this time i'm hoping like anything he can get across from another poor alley. This isn't a strong race and so if he's ever to win another one, this should be it. Appleby can go well on his day, its just a matter of picking the right day. Common Knowledge won well last time and being on pace could help in this race.

Best would be My Best Tycoon with a rough hope given to Promising Joy...

Good luck with your bets tomorrow....

Sven

I thought there looked to be plenty of speed in race 7. This should suit the two class horses Star Shiraz & Fiery Sunset. I love backing classy types fresh, will just depend on the prices on offer. 5/1 or more would be good.

Will also have an interest bet on Bit of Magic.

In the 5th, now that both My Best Tycoon and Arrowsweep are scratched, my new picks are Mighty Crossing, Stepping and Altao for 3rd....

In the 8th, Kid Kaplan is a nice chance with some speed on...

Good luck all

Sven
