![]() Rule 1: Consider non-handicap hurdle races (not flat races or steeplechase races) of 4000 metres and less.
Rule 2: Consider only horses that finished first, second or third in its last start. Rule 3: The horse's last race must have been within the current racing season. Rule 4: The horse must not be ridden by a three-kilogram claiming apprentice. Rule 5: If more than one horse remains, the selection is the horse with the highest handicapped weight (ignoring apprentice claims). Rule 6: If still more than one, select the horse who has raced most recently. Rule 7: If still more than one, select the horse who had raced with the higher number of starters in its last start.
