G'day all,

Thought i'd post a few thoughts on the races in Brisbane tomorrow. Doesn't look a bad card, and the weather has been great here in the last few days.

Race 1 - Thought the time was just about right for Upilio to run a race. Has been in much stronger fields of late and has had poor alleys (mind you, this one isn't much better). Grecolo chalked up another win at the Coast the other day in good fashion, but this appears marginally harder. Nice horse though. No Mistake is an improving type who could run a good race too, the alley is dreadful unfortunately.

Race 2 - Whats going on with Adavale Hornet? He just keeps racing. Surely he's gonna feel the effects soon. That being said, i can't tip against him. He ran a huge race on Saturday and it took a good effort by High Academy to gun him down. There are no High Academy's here, so i think, if he starts, he can win. Miss Carolion should run an improved race. Nothing has gone right so far this campaign, but the strong rider and the 2 alley are great. Craiglea Bob finds it tough to win, but is a strong place chance with speed on.

Race 3 - She's Notable, Bundala, Shale Shaker. Hate the race, to be honest.

Race 4 - Natural Glamour has been racing well and i think can go close again here. Has a good alley, and was a tough win at the Coast last start. Looks a real stayer. Picaplace has been in OK form in better races, and Colless and the 4 alley helps a lot. Kohnray Star should relish this distance, and will be running on at the death.

Race 5 - Babinda Half should just about win this. He has been flying around this course/distance of late, and this doesn't appear any stronger than he's met lately (he did run into Starlactic 2 runs back). Maxy Legs has been running well lately, but isn't a horse i can get on the right day. Commercial Dane is a nice horse, albeit a touch unreliable, but can run a good race on his day. He isn't without a chance.

Race 6 - Alifly struck a real purple patch of form at the end of last campaign and i think he can continue that tomorrow. Likes to get back and run home, so i'm just hoping that there's enough speed here. General Patton has been consistent lately (except for throwing the rider last time) and can go close here with a good run. Golden Fox would need to win one before i picked him, but his form has been in much better races than this and could improve without surprising.

Race 7 - Royal Hero. Ran super time first up, may not have backed up in the Gold Coast race the other day (and Daimyo might have been a touch good ) but i think he can bounce back and win here. Tornado Alley has run well in his last few outings and can replicate that here (assuming that Secateurs doesn't serve it up to him out in front). Was a good run last time in the Heavy, after racing deep. Tellem is a classy galloper and a good run tomorrow would not surprise at all. Good race.

Race 8 - Minassi should just about win i thought. The alley and the claim for Palmer just top it all off i think. Has been racing in great form, and this race really tapers off fast after you get past the top few. Mantle won well last time, but had all the favours. A win is a win though, and shouldn't be far off them here. Watch for an improved run by Mighty Icon. Gets a good surface, and will be running on hard at the death.

Best tomorrow would be Babinda Half, Royal Hero and Minassi.

Yea it has been a good start. Problem is i stayed out of the maiden race . Oh well, them the breaks i spose.
