Default Moonee Valley

Mooney Valley Night Meeting 17/3

Race 1

Miss Theron - Will be short but only has to handle the valley and just wins. Excellent win at flemington last start, good winning strike rate, never unplaced at the distance. Not sure if i want too leap into the short odds though.

Race 2

Dry Shagny - Freshened and excels when produced fresh. Has to carry top weight but is a proven weight carrier and is a good valley horse. Should win. Danger - English Rose.

Race 3

Declaree Goes well fresh, likes the track and distance.
Caliente Queen goes well after a freshen
Qudraat - few whispers that this might go well fresh also
Race 4

Poor maiden to say the least.

Trifectas with:
Martian Dust
Flying Mimi
Hilarious Gift
No Fanfare
Sealed Section
Race 5

Dirt music, ran only 0.3 lengths behind tubular bells last start and tubular bells yesterday came out and ran a fast finishing second in the adelaid cup. Tubular bells looks like it might make the melbourne cup field the way it is going. That is excellent form for a race that lacks depth.

Sadler Joh - will go over the jumps soon, but has performed well at this 3000 metre trip on the flat in the past. Is 4th up from a spell after a couple of recent placings and should be in the mix.

Nicholas - Disspointing last couple but goes well this trk/distance

Race 6
Might work some quinella around these, pretty even weak bunch of cart-pullers though.

Quilter

Glefti

Aquila Street

Colaton

Race 7

Barsha - Absolutely flattened when making up good ground last start and still finished third. Untried at this distance but is third up from a spell so should be fit. ]
Next best: Deregulate, Lady Sundridge, White Gold

Race 8
Timeless Spirit - very impressive trial winner

Warshawsky
Jester Smoothie

Both horses won well on debut before being around the mark in the spring. First up from spells so market should give an indication.

Check mounting yard for this race.

Default Moonee Valley...

The Big Ask will go very close in race six. As will Leek's Mr Tambourineman (Darwin Cup winner), Mr Tambo ran on well at MV on Monday (A Leek) and should win tonight with R Debono claiming 3kgs. Forget Leek's other horse in race six.

Race eight - very simple for me here, why would N Callow drive from Berwick to MV for one race at 10pm for a run around? Jester will win.

Hope this helps with your quaddie!

Thought I would throw in some tips too.

I haven't spent a long time looking at these, they are more for fun then anything else:
Mooney Valley -- First Pick (Second Pick)
1 Miss Theron (Aria Diva)
2 English Rose (Perchance to Dream)
3 Surely you Jest (Altruist)
4 Martian Dust (Hilarious Gift)
5 Dirt Music (The Big Ask)
6 Mr Tambourine Man (Colaton)
7 Deregulate (Prized Packet)
8 Swit (Jester Smoothie )

I'll pick a couple of 2nds for you
Hong Kong Cheri (good 5th last start,,gets back but hits the line hard and the distance shouldnt be a worry..ordinary field helps..)
Deregulate (should be winning in this field...weight relief a bonus)
good luck
