With fixed odds to get top fluc and a minumum price you have to bet half an hour before the race. How do you know whether to take the risk of the horse being 4/1 or under or risk it drifting and getting better value with das divi-plus.I say this as I have read many posts about what price is better with the bookie and with the tote, I think $5.10 and under was better with the bookie and over that with das.Is it possible to cancel your bet with the bookie if you can get a better price on the tote.

Below $5-$6 you will generally be better off with Top-Fluct - above $8 generally better with Divi-plus. Between $5 and $8 there is not a lot of difference but these are LONG TERM averages only - there are always exceptions (so sometimes a $4 horse will still pay better on tote and sometimes a longshot will pay better on top-fluct especially if there is a late plunge).

I don't believe you can cancel a top fluctuation bet (not in the last 30 minutes anyway) but with some bookies you can make it conditional (ie. you can say only place bet if TF is $6 or higher for example).

So work out the price you want for your selection - place a conditional bet with that price with bookie - if it doesnt reach that with bookies but does on the tote you can always place a TAB bet at jump time.
