Paddy ,
had a dream last night where River To Me won a race at big odds , not sure what the race was or where it was but my dreams of horses winning races have a 100% record (2/2). Back about 3 or 4 years ago i dreamed of a horse called Don Tristram winning a race 2 days later i noticed it was in a race , it won at 80/1. Last year i had a dream of a race where i remembered the first 4 past the post at Mornington , i read the paper later that afternoon and realised the 4 horses were in a race at Mornington , i couldn't believe it , i looked at the results and what do you know , i had 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th in order the tri paid about $232. Also last night i had a dream of Metal Reign winning a race at $68.90 from Lonhro who finished 2nd , think i will keep dreaming with that one.

TESTAROSSA I am sending you a bottle of sleeping tablets (don't take them all at once). But if you sleep long enough we might just get the straight six!!!!
P.S. I love stories like that - I have heard a few that turned out to be winners. The last race I dreamt of was a greyhound race where the black dog won One would think I could be a bit more specific! |

I would love to see Hoeberg get up, just for Quinn's sake.
I always used to say ( when Quinn rides Hawkes' horses),"NO QUINN, NO WIN" wHICH ISN'T ALWAYS TRUE, BUT HEY, IT RHYMES! |

Paddy,
Here are my prices for the Warwick Stakes. Lonhro 46 Carnegie Express 41 Defier 121 Have no idea about Hoeberg but her first up form is not great so she can run against me.I expect Carnegie Express to run a big race but Lonhro does look the winner around Warwick Farm. |

Paddy,
Not sure if you are having a lend of me or whether you don't understand. The prices I post are required odds to bet not to lay and as such I am saying that Lonhro was just too short to back at the price offered. As were Victory Vein and Thorn Park in the 3yo races. It made for a long trip to the races for no action on Saturday but that happens occasionally. But somehow I suspect you already know this and its your Irish wit taking the micky. In any case I enjoy your posts on this forum. |

legion, do understand, keep up the good work!
On the subject of bookies: After the last race a young lad who stuttered slightly approached a bookmaker who had a winning day. "Excuse me, I bbbacked a fivett..." The bookie, as quick as a flash replied "there was no fivetoone winners, mate, take a hike!" The young lad persisted. "I bbbacked a fivett." "Look," said the bookie, "I told you before, there were no fivetoone winners today, so scram!" The young lad stood there for a while, and then once again spoke to the bookie - "I bbbacked a fivett." The bookie interjected "What the heck, you're not going to leave me alone, I've had a good day. Here's a fiftynote. Now nick off!" The young lad shrugged his shoulders with resignation, accepted the note, walked over to his mate and said. "That bookie's a nice bloke. I tried to tell him I backed a fiveton truck into his Rolls Royce, and he gave me fifty dollars."
