ok i know Groups 1 is higher.....

but what about C is C 1 a better feild than C2 ? which way is it going ?


R1 = reginal yeh ? so C = city ??

ok any1 know the percentage for the fav to place ?

i recently ********** it and had a great win - thinking i was very clever i thought up a place system where i would back fav and slowly make a lil profit - what i thought would be safe coz surely the fav should get a place 80% of the time...... NOOOOOP!!! well that didnt work the past week lol - esp when there are 3-4 horse bidding for the favourtism lol

when u guys work with the race data on wether a system would work or not - 90% would actually be a loss of 10% right ??

any1 know i site where they will give you the times of the last couple of races horse has run in ?? nothing worse than having two horses who have raced a good race at same distance last start but you cant compare without knowing how quick the race was.

any opinions of iasbet.com ? there odds tend to be very different to tabonline ?

is there an online betting site that is generally considered by you guys as better ? i have been using a couple to find out more info on them

iasbet has had crazy prises especially harness some horses are 15+ where on unitab they are $7 lol - none of these have got up though DOHH!!

heres some info C is for Class.

*A CLASS ONE RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than one race on the flat.
*A CLASS TWO RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than two races on the flat.
*A CLASS THREE RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than three races on the flat.
*A CLASS FOUR RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than four races on the flat.
*A CLASS FIVE RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than five races on the flat.
*A CLASS SIX RACE* is one restricted to horses which, at the time of starting, have not won more than six races on the flat.

All classes have provision that in determining the eligibility of any horse no account shall be taken of any wins in Class A, Class B or Trophy races, other than a win as a Maiden horse. The Horses Age May Restrict In flat racing, a race may be restricted to a certain age group; two year olds; three year olds; four year olds and older


Favs do place often.. not sure on the exact percentage... If there are 3 or 4 horses bidding for favourtism then i would stay out of the race. Im stating to do place bets but only in a field of 8-10 where there is a standout horse... Need to be wise.

Here is a 'KISS' principle method of working out class without the complexity of the Aust.-dogs-breakfast-Class-System:

A $20k race is classier than a $15k race and will attract classier horses. A $100k race is classier than a $70k race and will attract classier horses. Get the idea?

A quick look at what class [how much was the race worth?] races were won by any runner in a race, lets you know what class of horse a runner is.
If it's had 6 career wins and the best it could do was win a $20k race, it ain't got a hope in hell of wining the $70k race it's in today [regardless of weight]!

I thought I had a pretty good understanding of the classifications of the races (Class 3, Open, Listed and Group, etc.), but over the last month or so, there have been some "Restricted" races popping up in Melbourne and Sydney, that I don't recall seeing before. Anyone out there have any clues as to what the minimum or maximum requirements are for horses wanting to enter these races? What is it that's restricted?

I think the 7th race at Rosehill tomorrow is going to be classified at Restricted.
