Cox Plate
I'm not sure if this belongs here, so here goes.
I just looked at the fixed odds for the cox plate. Marasco $3.60 with sportingbet, but $4.00 with IAS Miss Finland (my tip by the way) $3.60 with both. El Segundo $4.20 with both Haradasun $9.00 with sportingbet, but $8.00 with IAS Apach Cat $26.00 with sportingbet, but $21.00 with IAS. I'm taking Marasco $27@$4.00 at IAS Miss Finland $31@$3.60 at Sportingbet El Sugundo $26@$4.20 at Sportingbet Haradasun $12@$9.00 at Sportingbet Apache Cat $4@$26.00 at Sportingbet I will make a profit no matter which one wins. |

Don't forget that.....
a) if one of them doesn't start you've done your dough. b) if another horse wins you've also done your dough. c) if Dylan Thomas starts, he'll win

That's a long time to tie up $100...
... just to win at most $11.60
Better than bank interest I guess.

Or you could have used betfair and increased your odds for the horses as follows :
Marasco $4.30 instead of $4.00 (7.5% extra) Miss Finland $4.60 instead of $3.60 (27% extra) El Sugundo $5.60 instead of $4.20 (33% extra) Haradasun $9.20 instead of $9.00 (2.2% extra) Apache Cat $32.00 instead of $26.00 (23% extra) Good Luck. |
