Thoughts for Saturday
Race 2,
In an open race i was very impressed with Blue Grouse last start,,has good gate speed and should get to the front here or near enough and thats an advantage ,,,Red For lou improves 2nd up and the claims helps...these the 2 i'll be concentrating on.. Race 3, I'm all over Stanzout but i doubt a price,,his last run was fantastic in tougher company,, AmerryKing and Was that you should be value ,,, Race 4, Looks like a good race for Chinchilla Rose ,,heard they were going to go forward here ?? cant see how she'll get in if she does,,,,,she can finish off a race well so you think going back would be the better option.. Sleek Chassis didnt like being cluttered up last time ..will improve here with some room..Jestatune has been flying in track work i hear ,,and Gibralter Champion finished off well last start.. these the top 4 ,,,,i like the value Sleek Chassis 10's and the 5.50 Chinchilla means you can back both.. Race 5, Marching will appreciate the extra distance,,,i'm scared of Weekend Hussler but if hes scratched than marching is in this and at value.. Race 6, Miss Finland to sharp a sprint for Marasco...he'll track her if he can but shes better than Apache Cat and want be easy to catch.. Rubiscent a roughie with a place chance....no value here at all.. Race 7, Undue 11's is in this race with a good weight,,,Niconero 18's has been honest and i liked his last run,,,,these the 2 i like at the prices,, Bon Hoffa and Divine the obvious....Dr NipnTuck i like but the barrier is a concern...nice trifecta race, Race 8, nothings been finishing off her races better than Amarazetti of late,,,1200m is as far as she wants ,,her and Flying object will be the ones charging home but the odds (21's) are very nice for Amarazetti e/w. Race 9, Maldivian looks hard to beat 3.30 is ok i guess... Brissie To Hard and a very ordinary program.. Organic Cookie , How Brave looks suited.. i thought Funlove if shes a nice price capable fresh to give the boys a real go,, Sydney To hard again,,I'm a fan of The Free Stater and will apreciate the better surface tomorrow,,,,Upper echelon if theres a price around.. Adelaide Merlot Now...if blessed is racing in melbourne than good old Merlot a big show in this,,,loves the track and racing like his old self.. Belmont Grasspatch Girl Echuca Ruben NZ I loved JDanes last run ,,just lost momentum at a vital stage,,,puts herself in a good posie to win races and will give you a great sight for your money.. 15's atm .. Best for me ,,..The Free Stater , Merlot Now , Grasspatch Girl, Amarazetti e/w , Undue/Niconero , Last edited by maverick1993 : 21st September 2007 at 08:22 PM. |

R3 Shadoways is a chance in this if they can get it out of the pocket it got caught in at flemington in time for it to make the start time tomorrow.
R4 Chinchilla Rose and Gibraltar Campion, two of my favourite horses atm, and on both heir last runs are hard to seperate. R5 Im sticking with Marching, been on every start this prep and happy to stick with it, was hoping Pins on Parade would run to stick it to Weekend Hussler up front but i think marching will be close enough, and given a good run will be right in this. R6 Im gunna get on Eskimo Queen, if shes going to be a chance in the cups she should be right in this, and the odds are great. R7 I agree with you mav, ive liked Niconero's last couple of runs, think he is in this up to his ears, and $18 is exccellent value. If Jokers wild can run up to its last run here aginst Miss Finland it could upset the lot and at $26 im sure is worth a dabble (im sure i saw it at $36) Other than that Randwick i like Rapid Jocko and also Son of Dane is excellent odds if you can get double figures. |

had a look at the first few for tomorrow, seems a very tough day for punting
r1 very hard to pick a winner here.... maybe snip esprit for value r2 not much stands out here either, i'm with the top weight Permaiscuous. class runner of the field, should be fitter after last couple of runs r3 plenty of chances again. of the shorties i like Amerryking and Stanzout, but i think there's some value with Our Apache and Anna's Choice. Eclair Passion if it gets a run could go close r4 hard race to pick again. i'm down to three, Sleek Chassis, Tan Tat de Lago and Gibralter Champion. i've got GB on top, i think its one of the top 3yos around, good run resuming last start as well. TTDL just keeps improving and SL i think still has the class advantage and Marasco to beat miss finand, Maybe Better the rough win chance |

Very tough day today, as it quite often is at Caulfield.
In the big ones I like Marasco and Bon Hoffa. Not overly confident though. Two of the best on the program I think would have to be Stanzout and Maldivian. With the other Bon Hoffa. Best bet I would have to say is not to go too hard today and save for Headquarters in two weeks time. Good Luck |

Another dodgy day.
At the right distance, Chinchilla Rose HAS to go back from the barrier and that's were it can win from in r3. If it tries to go forward I've done my dough! Marching has the barrier and the right distance in r4 Marasco [if it avoids the wobbles] to do the dirty on MF maybe and finally win on this track? No money from me though in this race. Time to produce for Wonderful Wold [win bet] or Bon Hoffer [no bet, too short] to win and I'd throw in 9,10,14,16,18 in the multiples [I'll have a 2x6 tri in this and a small straight 4] Red Lord (17) in the last might be a good e/w at odds and worth a boxed Quin or Tri with 2,3,14 Good luck! |
