Thumbs down Connection problems with IASbet?

Anyone else been having problems connecting and placing bets with IASbet.com today? I've tried countless times today, but it keeps hanging, and then when it does finally let me place a bet, the next page erases my selection, so I have re-choose my selection again. It's Caulfield Cup day and the #%$@*% website hasn't let me place a single one of my bets today. This kind of thing has happened many times over the last couple of years, and they still haven't managed to fix the recurring problem. #%$@*% pathetic service. I have to drop these guys and look for a more reliable internet betting source.

Well said Silver_and_sand,
I have been experiencing problems and have been looking at and adjusting my settings, when all the time it has been their fault!
Very, very frustrating..............!

Cheers.

G'day Raw Instinct,
Good point. Obviously getting a good price is important, but it's absolutely pointless being quoted the best price if you can't actually place a bet. Maybe I'll consider one of the TABs for better reliability.

G'day Xanadu,
Yeah this morning I thought it was my computer that was playing up, before I narrowed the real problem down to the IASbet website. I've already made a complaint to them. Their official line is that it's not their fault, it's Telstra's. The problem has been a recurring one though over the last couple of years, and the fact that they have not been able to resolve the issue in that time tells me that they have no interest in ensuring their clients get the best possible service. I've had enough of them and will now look elsewhere. Good luck to you mate if you stick with them. I'll bet the issue happens again on Melbourne Cup day.

I got this email at 6:20pm today which is a bit late :

Dear IASbet Customer,

Please note that the Telstra Internet Service Provider is currently experiencing problems, as such Telstra customers may experience difficulties connecting to IASbet.com

Please note that our telephone betting centre is open and able to take your bet.

G'day Wesmip1,

I just checked and I didn't receive any email from IASbet. My internet service isn't with Telstra and I didn't have any problems today with any other websites, just IASbet's. It's IASbet that have Telstra as their provider. It sounds like their trying to cover their a#$%&s by saying it's Telstra fault not theirs.

The recurring problem is due to high traffic the IASbet website gets on main event Saturdays, and their current ISP package with Telstra's isn't able to cope with the traffic, so it bottlenecks, stalls and generates errors. I'm guessing IASbet really need to upgrade their server and internet service package. I'm astonished really that a bookie that operates primarily via the internet is neglecting to fix a recurring problem that grossly restricts his client's ability to place their bets on major racing days. Simply ludicrous. If you decide to stick with IASbet, I'd recommend on big event racing days that you place your bets early to avoid these issues, or maybe call in your bets. Good luck.
