Smile MC SYSTEM???

Does anyone remember that old MC system Where a horse had to win or place in various races preceding the cup.

yeh i saw it recently but dont remember where
i like the system where you have the 3rd horse in the mackinnon and fourth horse in caulfield cup
zippings sectionals have been sensational
blue monday's not bad either(reckon D hayes is up to something with that one)

Well, the old Racetrack magazine system which is probably what you're referring to might be just a little bit out of date now. Especially the bit about the Moonee Valley Cup which no longer seems to be such a great guide to the Cup. But anyway, here it is:

Top 3 placings in the Caulfield Cup
Top 3 placings in the McKinnon Stks
Top 3 placings in the Moonee Valley Cup (except if the winner gets a penalty when you take 2nd, 3rd & 4th)

That means:
Master O'Reilly, Douro Valley, Princess Coup
Sirmione, Princess Coup, Zipping
Gallic, Lazer Sharp

Sarrera finished 4th in the MV Cup, but Gallic didn't get a penalty. In any case, as I said, the MV Cup doesn't seem to be a brilliant leadup these days.
