The surprise of week 1 was that there was no surprise. My fair odds were almost exactly the same as TAB New Zealand's odds. The only winner I missed in week 1 was when the Lions won by 1 in an upset. That makes a 6 for 7 start.

It is good to be cautious betting for the first 4 weeks in case there are any surprises compared to last year, to give the computer ratings time to adjust.
