![]() Hi all
Just wondering it we could stimulate some reaction to the idea of early and late money being slapped on the toteboard. Is there such trends with this kind of thing? Are there any books or web links about this kind of thing? A Dr Z once came up with same kind of formula for this type of thing. Has anyone any info on such? I welcome any views and opinions Regards Craig |

![]() I personally believe that Late or early or even middle money on the tote means nothing. A bookie who I worked for many years ago stated that he took less notice of one person having $10000 on something, more notice of 10 people having $1000 on & even more notice of 100 having $100 on.

![]() I tend to agree with Mark - unless you know who is putting the money on it doesn't mean much. I did some analysis on this last year with quite a few years worth of data by looking at the Tabcorp prices 2 minutes before jump compared to the final approximate. Over approx 40,000 races I found the following:
Approx 7400 winners had shortened on TAB by 10% or more (eg. from 10.00 to 9.00) Approx 4800 winners had blown out on TAB by 10% or more (eg. From 10.00 to 11.00) The rest (about 28000 winners) were within 10% of the 2 minute price at the jump. Based on this I decided that price movement (ie. late money) alone was pretty useless at predicting the winner as less than 20% of winners shown significant evidence of late money being bet. I seem to remember that Dr Z. was selling a computer program that supposedly tracked this late money and suggested bets based on this info - there were quite a few negative comments about this on another forum last year (sorry - can't remember where).

![]() I often wondered what component of those prices on the TAB that plunge in say the last 2 minutes before jump time are actually computer driven. There seems to be so many programs around that search and lock onto a runner with a falling price.

![]() Here`s a reasonable priced money tracking & laying your bets on computer software package.
It does win, place, quins, exactas, trifectas,Dutch betting using saver bets. http://www.intaracing.com.au They even give you a 3 day free trial, no deposit required . One thing I beleive with tracking money , is that some days will all go our way then other days , the wheels fall off in a screaming heap.

![]() Thanks for the comments to-date
The major thing about chasing the market money moves is that you would need to be in front of your PC watching and waiting for hours. Wouldn't that be painful! What I'm really looking for here is a proven internet based system that auto alerts (say by email or software running in background) when a system selection is about to line up. Any ideas or links? ![]() Mark Read the bookmaker has a service that pages you about 3 minuets before jump with certain late mail stuff .
With all due respects ,it sounds like you want to punt , but don`t want to put in any time into the selection process or staking process or even the laying of the bets process or even picking up your winnings . Now that`s a lazy punter. It sounds like your more into money making machines , rather than the punt , which requires input from a human from somewhere I`ve got one question ,why do you want to punt at all , I mean, you would be better off paying some one to go to work on your behalf, so that way, one could sit back & do "jack" for a regular job aswell as the punt , I`m sorry , but it don`t work that way.

![]() Gents
I know the key to unlocking the winning tote fluctuations on the NSW tote. I kept the tote fluctuations of every runner of every race over 3 years and unravelled the maze that is the NSW tote. Yes there is "magic money" on particular horses during the day and the key is to know what horses are being set up as the false favourite and those horses that will be backed in throughout the day and then drift at post time and still win. Also there are two poison prices on the NSW tote with one being the price of the favourite (opening and just before jump)and a particulare tote fluctuation (firming in) that just does not win often enough to buy the takeaway pizza on a Saturday night. Yes folks the NSW tote is manipulated by some very big players (professionals) who set up certianties on the tote early in the day and then let every mug punter follow in the firmers and lose. My fluctuations are deadly when applied with form and can be easily used by applying no form at all. So keep researching and keep monitoring and one day the penny will drop and you will uncover what I have uncovered. Then you will win consistently using form or no form. Regards - The Calculator |
