Bit of aggressive fun
Heres a staking plan for someone that likes to bet aggresively, and for a bit of fun. I have used this for place betting the last week or so, and am averaging a profit of 1.5 units a race. Chances are its gonna fall over sooner or later, but is good fun. Keep betting up the series until in profit.
1 1 1 1 1 2 3 5 9 15 25 41 69 115 191 I added the single unit bets at the start to try and protect it from a bad loosing run. If at any stage a profit is shown, rule off and start again. Once you are into the prgression, a divi of around $2.60 clears the series. Some of the profit can be quite good especially if you get a couple of smaller divis which bring it close to even, then snag a nice $2+ divi to kick it into profit. So it pays to use a method that occasinally snages a $2+ divi, although even using smaller ones, a good run of three of four will see it make money. The other thing is that even if you get to the last bet, chances are it wont be a total bank wipeout, unless you were unfortunate enough to pick 15 non place getters in a row. Now we all know that theres no way to turn a loss into a profit so dont bother posting as such. I have been using it on a method which shows a 2% POT, so maybe I am just lucky. But anyway, have some fun with it. |

Thorns, as I told you I have experimented with all kids of progressions staking, over a long, long period of time all you have actually done is increase your AVERAGE bet, and as the S/R and POT have not increased the outcome will be exactly the same as level stakes, sorry to be the "partypooper" but thems the facts.
Having said that, I know how boring level stakes betting can be, and in fact I run a couple of aggressive staking plans (for fun) along side my levels stakes betting. In your case I don't think you could come to much harm, I reckon you could go for years and years and never get anywhere near the 115 & 192 bets, but I know I would chicken out at 41 or 69 maybe, say at $50 units .....oooooh! I also think (but don't really know) that a bet of $9600 for the place would seriously affect the divi? so imagine your last bet pays $1.04, or worse you risk your dough for a $1 return, i.e. you can lose but you can't win arrrgh! As you mention, you are never going to be able to bet large unit sizes with it as you will end up shooting yourself in the foot. Im gonna keep playing with it and will let you all know when I bust (Will withdraw my initial bank soon). Out of interest the furtherest I have made it up the ladder so far is to the second to last bet, which placed, and made it to a 4.5 unit loss overall, so just accepted that loss and started a new one. However if I had put it on the line I would have cleaned up as the next bet placed at $2.50 lol. |

Nothing like chasing loses [just keep betting more]. Eventually you'll win ..not!

I agree to an extent, but be sobered by the mathematical fact that sooner or later that 2nd last bet will be 4th or will pay $1 jeepers! Nah, I will stick to level stakes, at least I know that even if you progress to $500 bets , the MOST you can lose on a single bet is $500????? If you do the acid analysis, i.e. total no. of stakes divided by the total no of bets to give you your AVERAGE bet, your S/R, POT and ave. Divi remain the same! Good luck! |
