Default Odds available comparison bottom line

Just by way of interest I had 22 bets today (best tote) all at the lower end of the market and was lucky enough to hit 7 winners for a small level stakes profit, but just look at this:

Returns Best Tote =25.20

Best of NSW/Super =22.30

Pools =23.20

Interesting ey?

Hey Party,

Out of interest have you checked what you would have got through Betfair?
You can get a good idea here at what the closing BF available price was here

racing.betfair.com.au

Be interesting to see if you get some time to compare them, how it compares to best tote.

Cheers

Thorns, short answer is no, I'm a bit long in the tooth (eg. I'm still using WORKS" spreadsheets, just can get the hang of excel) Bet Fair is still a mystery to me.

I like to put my bets on well b4 racing, obviously I try to do that at the best possible odds i.e (1) Best Tote/SP, (2) Best Tote, (3) ,Best of NSW/Super

I'm now told there is a mob who offer BETTER than best tote even on country meets so I guess that would come inbetween 1 &2.

And as well as all that I back at Top Fluc WHEN available on any nag quoted at $4 or less.

But getting back to betfair, can you just place a bet @ their SP well b4 the race?

Yes you can.

You can even tell them the min or max price you want your selection to be before the bet is put on.

Betfair SP
For instance , you may only want your selection to go on if it is
between 1.10-4.00.
So if your selection is say 36.00 , bet wont go on.

Min bet is $5.00

With BF I think you'd need to look into getting a bot if you were wishing to bet, as quite often there is no money in the markets until 5-10mins before the jump. So unless you know excatly what price you are after, it probably wouldn't be the best idea.

@ Bhags, I thought SP was only available now on UK racing?
