Anyone like Mic Mac for the 10,000?

I'm thinking back to Apache Cat's prep a few years ago and I'm thinking Eurell would have had this carnival as the main goal before he was forced to hand the reins over to Messara.

Thoughts?

Mic Mac no real wet track form
That has to be a worry if worse than dead on race-day

Fair Point Sands, though has won 6 from 7 on dead tracks and ran a 1.3 length 5th on a slow track to Danleigh in the G1 Manikato, so I'm reasonably confident he'll handle it.

Personally I'm more concerned with current form and class.

As of 10.15am Saturday, now a slow 6 and raining.

A very tricky race.
My top 3 are:
Hot Danish, Melito and Mic Mac.

Danger - Shellscrape (3 from 3 in the slow, won at the track and at the distance)

To be honest I think around 7 horses have a chance. If whobegotyou is fit enough and Rodd doesn't slaughter it in the running then it's always in the reckoning.

I know Phelan Ready likes the conditions but hasn't won over more than 1200m which is a concern for me. A few people think he'll run it out judged by his support this week.

Breakneck speed, Ortensia gobbles them up. It's a minefield!

Best of luck to all!!

The Schmile

I've backed King Mufhasa. If the rain continues, think Ortensia, Phelan Ready and Shellscrape the biggest dangers. Then you've got the other mares incl Russeting a rough place hope. Whobegotyou hates wet but classy and Red Lord should be running home well in prep for the Straddie
