Following on from this afternoons successful tips (top weight thread), i attach tips for tonights meetings:

M1 / 1-9

M4 / 1-2 (#1 is also Testarossa's pick against the forum Jinx)

S5 / 2-6.

Hope these go as well as the tips did earlier today.

cheers

Well good start to my forum tipping.

Tonights summary:

M1 / 1-9 #1 winner $2.70
S5 / 2-6 #2 winner $2.30
#6 Third $1.90 place
M4 / 1-2 no placings

In addition to this afternoons tips that makes it 5 races assessed (2 tips per race)finding 4 winners and 3 placings. Only negative is that the odds were a little skinny today.

Being new to the forum i doubt anyone would have backed the tips but i am happy to keep posting tips if people are interested. Let me know.
cheers

You might want to also look at the free ProPunter ratings. Theyve cleaned up tonight.
So have I.

Marcus at least someone responded although not directly to me. I'll keep going and see if anyone out there is reading this post.

Good start yesterday- maybe the forum jinx hasn't noticed my tips yet either.

Today's tips are:

Quirindi race7 / 8-2
Quirindi race 8 / 2-12
Yarra Glen race 7 / 1-2

Well only 1 winner and a second from the 3 rated races today - once again the dividends were a little skinny.

Summary of last 3 days - 8 races assessed (2 picks per race)
5 Winners
4 Placings

Tips for Sat:

Brisbane race 2 #9
Brisbane race 5 #7
cheers and good luck for the weekend everyone

2 tips on the weekend unfortunately brought home a second and a third. Summary:

18 tips
5 winners
6 placings(11 including winners).

Todays tips:

Sale Race 5 / 2-5
Sale Race 7 / 2
Sale Race 8 / 3-9
Canterbury Race 5 /11-3
Doomben Race 5 /1-3
Doomben race 7 / 3-9

Not sure how to best stake having more than one tip in a race -as i am finding i have a reasonable srike rate for both winners and placegetters. Any ideas/suggestions from those that are a little more ofay at this game than i am?

cheers

I've yet to hear of anyone who has successfully backed short priced favourites on the tote and come out in front over the long term.
If selections lose long term then no amount of staking will turn them into a long term profit.
So my suggestion as a starter, if you are betting on the tote is to eliminate all bets under $6.00 and level stake the rest.

Mr logic

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately work gets in the way of this pastime and can never know the odds prior to posting. Tips posted are not necessarily ones that i would back - as the odds have turned out to be skinnier than 'normal'.

When you say level stakes (i know this may sound as a naive question) does this mean back them to win the same amount or back them for the same amount?

cheers
