Default Free Form ratings & Questions

I've a neural based system/s and looking at using ratings to help with selections...so have a couple quick questions on ratings.

Unitab ratings - What are they based on? I think I remember wesmip mentioned unitab rating are based on speed. Is this correct?

Who provides the form rating for tabracing.com.au/ I know it says Sky form, is this the same as Techform?

Are techform ratings available free and has anyone have any comments regarding them i.e. long term S/R, find them accurate? etc

...or any other free ratings, who would you recommend.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stix,

Regarding Techform, I found this on the RISA website. I think they're $5.50 per meeting.

RISA Techform

I found this info on the racing Vic website:
The Australian Horse Rating system was devised by Perth-based National Ratings Pty Ltd in conjunction with the Racing Services Bureau (now part of RISA) in 1985. Its Techform Ratings are a computer-generated numerical form guide that is calculated by the rating of past performances combined with a detailed analysis at acceptance time.

Techform Ratings are an exclusive feature of racebooks throughout Australia and are available for subscribers through RISA/RSB. They are also available on the internet on selected TAB sites.

- Unitab ratings as far as I can gather are sourced from AAP.

Hope this helps a little.

Cheers,

The Schmile

Spelt it wrong.

Google up Premierratings dot com.

You will have to register.

As i already have an account i am unsure if you,
Have to deposit funds to get them.

Well worth it if you can throw something small in to get started.

Default Don Scott Ratings

Full of stoopid questions lately ......

I've used neural extensively for the past few years, now looking back on spme older posts and UselessB's database website...

So here goes; Are Don Scott's ratings on the worksheet function on R&S (http://www.racingandsports.com.au/form-guide/) and given as either FR or EM value?

Where can i find an explaination of the different columns...

I feel pretty sheepish about posting this, but never know if you never ask..

thanks

EM is the margin from the highest rated.
thus for the highest rated it = 0.
Re EM:
ExMarg: Theoretical Beaten margin in kgs based on FR calculation

re explanation - for full display - hit " explanation" under the displayed table. that provides a definition for most of them - but keep reading down it is bit easy to miss it all.

cheers
aussie

Smile Free Form ratings & Questions

Hi Stix.

The skyform ratings you enquired about are the old wizard ratings.

They are run by Warren Block from a company called successability.

The in wet ratings on the tab website are not from this company.

They are from sky channel itself.

Cheers.
Garyf
