Vipbet
I would like to make contact with other members of vipbet.
I am concerned about their calculation of bet prices. Also their lay prices. I had a conversation with one of their workers and asked about lay prices. After explaining his version he hung up on me. this is the conversation Q: how is the final price calculated for lay bets A: Lay dividends are based on the tote. Your approximate dividend is shown on the betting form and your actual dividend which will be very similar is shown when the race jumps well before the result is known. Q: Which Tote (of three) ? A: No Answer to that question Still on lay bets he offered this explanation "We have an inbuilt protection mechanism that protects the business against betfair abnormalities. it is easy for punters to compare to betfair which in most cases has poor liquidity particulary on roughies and take advantage of our guaranteed liquidity.A horse 100/1 in the betting ring and 800/1 betfair means it cant win. IIf you continue to lay these types of runners, the system will set your code to bring you closer to the betfair figure.with the exception you will still get on.all dividends are on display on the betting form.it will change littleor not at all after the jump.only late tote money affects the price on display.Like any bookie if the odds dont suit. you do not have to bet. --------------------------- anyway if you are a member please enter into this thread |

Never heard of them. But guaranteed liquidity for laying longshots would be very useful for me even if they are similar/same as betfair as long as they are not significantly higher.

On the positive side I won $600 during the trial and since and I had no trouble making my first withdrawal for that amount. |

thanks for the advice. I guess that is pretty poor of them not taking a $20 bet.
Crazy really. |

No answer to which tote, is a real worry! Could even be best of 3 or tote plus, makes a huge difference. The bloke is obviously trying to reel in people to lay longshots well over the odds, believe me they can and do win! The last sentence speaks more of a bad attitude, rather than policy in my opinion.

After my small experience with them, I came to the conclusion I will just go back to BF to lay. Most of my money with them I won in the trial, then they matched my initial deposit, so my capital outlay is very small.
I don't consider it a serious contender at all, and I will just use it for my interest bets only now. Also the betting platform is very ugly to say the least. I have read elsewhere that the lay price is "based" on best tote, but manipulated according to market percentages, and even your personal record with them. Hardly worth it, imo. |
