Was told today that a friend of mine who i gave the tip "Enthusiast" to ..put $10,000
on to win..
I was sick to the stomach watching the race...mainly because i know this guy isn't rich or anything..It all worked out but never again..it sort of felt like i was betting with someone elses money.I told him i would give him the odd tip..but to keep it to youself what you bet until after the race..and preferebly don't tell me the losers.. :smile:

But what a great horse Enthusiast is !!

It's the same with any amount of money in my opinion, if i give someone the tip, and they put it on and it runs 2nd or wherever, then i feel guilty for not giving them a winner, although it's up to them whether or not to follow me and put it on, you still can't help but feel responsible.. for example
I was at either eagle farm or doomben one day, and i was coming back from just having collected some winnings, and sat down with my mate and his sister and her boyfriend and his sister was telling this guy that i had been winning all day and that i would give him tips, i found out he was the father of a guy off totally wild, and he had plenty of money, while i only put 5 each way on it, he would've put at least $20... it ran 4th.. :| so since then i've been pretty quiet and if i do give out a tip i say for the place or back it with a favourite for the quinella.. i don't really know anyone 'in the know' when it comes to tips, it's really just my gut feelings and my selections.. i don't know how to get to know these people.. ehhe

Gentlemen, anyone who chooses to use your selections does so at his/her own risk. You owe them nothing, they owe you! Respect, if nothing else. Horses are not machines and they don't always perform as in the past We also can't ask one how he feels on a particular day, so there is always risk. That's why we call it gambling, and your followers must accept reality. You should never feel badly about the performance of one of your touts; you merely offered your opinion, right or wrong.

i see what you mean Avenger..it just made it harder because i new the guy..never again today i told him about Just Awe at the Sunshine Coast and he had that look in his eye...now i'm nervous again :wink:

Because i haven't been struck by the forum curse yet,,,i'll post my selection special for tomorrow,,, "Words Of Magic" i know i could of picked an easier race but what the heck....so far i've got Proudly agro, tellem , Entusiast, Just Awe so if the roll keeps on going .jump on..your all welcome..

ps i did get the 10%.. :smile: and i have a new best friend...atleast until tomorrow that is.

Oh well...had to end oneday..Words Of magic did run a great race though..bt got held up at vital stages...don't think they'd catch Takeover anyway..what a horse.

hasn't raced for a year ! and won this track and distance easily last year..
I would assume the trainer has kept this horse fresh but trained up for this..and delibratly avoided trials and other earlier races to keep her price high..i would love to be there at the track to look at her prio..but i'll have something on her anyway.

and in response to the email i got the other day ,,,i don't mind putting my specials on the net,,mainly because i usually bet with a bookie..so tab flux dont matter..and who in the right mind would listen to me anyway :wink:
