![]() Sandgroper the bet of the "carnival".
Savers on Laetare, Blinded and my big worry is true steel. Has once this race before and is absolutely flying of late. |

![]() Stupid idea I reckon. Don't mind the 4 days racing, but as a Group 1, this race should be on the Saturday. That's still definitely the main punting day for most people.

I haven't spoken to a person yet who likes the "carnival" in it's current format. I think it should be two huge days of racing. The railway and the guineas and the prince of wales. Then the week after the fruit n veg, colonel reeves and a couple of other listed events that they have. today is a waste of two good races. |

Sounds good to me umrum. Also agree with you about today, could have at the very least been added to weekend program/s, rather than mid-week with most West Aussies at work. |

![]() Are the Hong Kong international races on this week??? I assume they must want to run the Fruit & Veg Stks in conjunction with them. That's the only possible reason I can think of for running a Group 1 race on a Sunday.
As for today's feature races, I agree that it's a waste having them on a Wednesday. If it was a public holiday, I could understand, but it's not. |

New format implemented by the WATC. Will be interesting to see just how things pan out, and if they stick to the new format for next year or revert back to the old. |
